For this Gospel singer, God’s word is final authority. Princess was born into a Christian family who dedicated their time and life to preaching the Gospel all over the world.

Growing up in Worcester- Zwelethemba, Princess started singing in the Sunday school choir at the age of six. Her voice would later prove as the calling she has, to spread the Good News.

Her desire to expand her horizons and broaden her musical career brought about instances where Princess would wake up late at night to write the songs she sang in her dreams. Seeing that this was a daily occurrence she decided to buy a Keyboard so that she wouldn’t forget the songs she wrote.

Her determination soon led her to the streets to sing for passers by. A move that would lead to her ultimate goal, and further prove that “where there is a will there is way”. The crowd’s response was unbelievable, as her voice spoke of an uncompromised word and unconditional love that God has for all people. Its was on one of those days that she met brother Jona who referred her to Prince Gotta the Manager of Sonskyn Studio’s in Eersteriver.

Seeing the talent she possessed, Gotta took on the role of recording Princess’s debut album in September 2005. It took 10 months of dedication, passion, and hard work for them to produce the final product. Her Album which was released in July 2006 encompasses many gospel trends, and is appealing to all music lovers. Her music and voice remind all of the need to be rooted and grounded in God’s word, enough to overcome our own adversity, and it reaches out to others who share those same principles. In her own words, Princess says” I thank God for my family who supported me through their undying love and never ending prayers, and my backing vocalists Malerato, Thandokazi, Thabisa who have become  surrogate sisters, since the beginning of the project.
Her faith in God will only take her to greater heights, proving that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her.
